Talking about strange festivals around the world, every year on the last day of August, El Salvador holds its annual Balls of Fire Festival. Possibly the world’s most dangerous festival, the people of Nejapa, a municipality of San Salvador, El Salvador’s capital, throw fireballs at each other to honour the huge volcanic eruption that occurred in 1917. Now, did I hear someone say, “Hadoken”?
