Thief Gets a Beating from Tae-kwondo Trained Korean Tourists

An Italian thief was saved by cops after a very unfortunate targetting of tourists near the Theatre of Marcellus, in Rome’s historic centre. Apparently the thief stole a handbag from a Korean family when they were not paying attention, even brandishing a knife when he was spotted. Two men from the family, in their 20s, then pursued him before bringing him down with tae-kwondo moves. After disarming the thief, they continued to beat him.
Lucky for the thief, a patrolling police officer intervened, separating the three. The 48-year-old criminal told police, “I must thank you; they were massacring me.”
