Drink ‘driving’ – yes, it happens to pilots too. Concerned security staff at Heathrow Airport informed police, after noticing a drunk Captain Joseph Crites, board an American Airlines, scheduled to fly from London to Chicago.
Police subsequently intercepted Mr Crites before takeoff, and administered a breathalyser test, for which he failed. The flight was delayed, with passengers being told that the pilot was sick.
