The world’s largest cruise ship, the Oasis of the Seas has successfully completed its maiden voyage from Finland to Port Everglades. During its 14-day journey, the cruise ship sailed through rough seas and gale force winds, and at one point came up to within half a metre of a bridge in Denmark.
The 225,000-ton megaship standing 16 decks high, pulled into the port with an entourage of small boats, which sprayed the cruise liner with a barrage of water cannons. The dramatic spectacle even caused traffic jams, as motorists clambered to get a glimpse of the cruise ship.
The cruise liner’s bragging rights include: a capacity for 6,360 passengers, 2,160 crew members, 21 swimming pools, an ice rink, an aqua park, a casino, real trees, a chip and putt golf course, and numerous other shops and restaurants.
