Departing San Diego for Ensenada, Mexico is the first ever international cruise, catering especially for Cougars.

For those of you still unaware of the term ‘cougar’. Urban Dictionary defines it as a 35+ year old female who is on the “hunt” for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. The cougar can frequently be seen in a padded bra, cleavage exposed, propped up against a swanky bar in San Francisco (or other cities)waiting, watching, calculating; gearing up to sink her claws into an innocent young and strapping buck who happens to cross her path. “Man is cougar’s number one prey”

Held aboard Carnival’s Elation cruiseliner, the event was promoted as a cruise for the cougar who “knows exactly what she wants… (and) what she doesn’t want is children, cohabitation or commitment.” Guests partied over 3 nights, and featured special guest Miss Cougar America 2009, Gloria Navarro.

Ann Thomas, Executive Director of The Singles Travel Company, which co-sponsored the event, said that the company was surprised to discover that there had never been an international Cougar Cruise.

“Obviously this cruise is long overdue… 2009 is the year of the Cougar,” she said.
