<p><span class="drop">S</span>eeking to get away from the discrimination from &#8216;normal&#8217; sized people, a community of dwarves have set up their own village in the mountains of Kunming, complete with a police force and fire brigade. The requirement for living in the village is that you have to stand under 129cm.</p>

<p>Recently, they&#8217;ve turned themselves into a tourist attraction by building mushroom houses and living and dressing like fairy-tale characters.</p>

<p>This latest move by the 120-resident village has sparked debate in China, with some people calling the village a freak show, while others argue that the village is the best chance of employment for the dwarves, given the huge surplus of labour in China.</p>
